Citrix Application Performance Management
eG Innovations, a company that helps organizations improve the performance of virtual, cloud and physical IT infrastructures, has formed partnership with data center storage optimizations expert Atlantis Computing to address the challenges associated with Citrix application management.
The partnership benefits customers looking for Citrix XenApp virtualization to improve the performance of their IT. The combined offering helps proactively address the storage and network performance challenges that often impact the desktop and application user experience.
Virtualization offers two major benefits: increased server utilization and simplified maintenance. In order to achieve these benefits without impacting the performance organizations must understand and gain visibility into the dynamic inter-dependencies between the user, application and storage layers. They should also adapt and manage their IT infrastructure to handle the increased storage and networking traffic without impacting the user experience or application performance.
The partnership introduces the best-of-breed Citrix application management solution that delivers maximum performance and end user satisfaction while dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of managing virtual desktop environments.
To create awareness of the solution, both companies also conducted webinar that addresses the issues that affect all Citrix XenApp and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) virtualization projects. The webinar explained how to more quickly virtualize a Citrix XenApp environment without affecting the user experience, performance or increasing costs.
During the third quarter of 2012, eG Innovations achieved a record number of new customer wins for management of virtual desktops and applications, product innovation and new strategic partnerships. A report by 451 Research said that eG Innovations is gaining momentum in the application performance management space by building on its steady growth with large enterprise customers.
eG Innovations also formed partnership with Egenera to deliver a joint solution that offers customers greater return-on-investment by automating provisioning, performance management and capacity planning.
In another such development, eG Innovations announced a partnership with Red Hat (News 
- Alert) whereby administrators can use eG Enterprise to monitor the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization server and desktop platforms.
