Citrix XenApp is an application delivery solution that enables any Windows application to be virtualized, centralized and managed in the datacenter and instantly delivered as a service to users anywhere on any device.
Virtual application delivery with XenApp helps organizations manage centralize applications in the datacenter and deliver applications instantly to users anywhere on any device. It also allows them to simplify and automate the process of delivering or updating applications, enabling IT to focus on strategic initiatives.
PolicyPak Professional software allows IT admins to deploy, manage and configure application settings without having to re-package XenApp Streaming applications each time. The software now works in collaboration with Citrix Profile Management and Citrix Personal vDisk.
Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak and Group Policy MVP said in a statement, “With PolicyPak dynamically delivering and enforcing settings to your XenApp Streamed applications, end users’ applications’ settings are delivered, locked down and secure. This helps with BYOD deployments, and reduced helpdesk calls, lowering support calls.”
The advantage of PolicyPak is that it ensures applications’ settings to be enforced even when the computer is offline. IT professionals can implement prevention measures to ensure users can't change important settings.
The software from PolicyPak has been pre-configured for several applications including those for Firefox, Java, Microsoft Office and Acrobat Reader. In addition to these, the company also builds customized Paks for less popular and homegrown applications through PolicyPak Design Studio.
All PolicyPak Paks created with PolicyPak will work with Citrix XenApp Streamed applications.
